Connectivity, finally!
This is the first night on the road that we've been able to get Internet connectivity from our campsite, so there's so much to tell and so many pictures to choose from for posting.
Our main routes so far have been (1) I-81 down through Pennsylvania, slivers of Maryland and West Virginia and the western portion of Virginia (Steve & Terry - we went right by the exit for James Madison U!) and (2) I-40 from Knoxville west through all of Tennessee into Arkansas, Oklahoma and now Amarillo TX. The weather has been favorable with nothing but occasional passing showers over the weekend. Our first few days have been focused on getting west to the New Mexico / Arizona area as quickly as possible, but we had a nice 2-night visit in Memphis with John's brother Jim and have managed to visit a few spots of interest along the way.
While in Memphis, we just had to take a quick trip to Graceland (although, as you can see from our prior posting, Elvis seems to have relocated to Nashville).

On our way through Arkansas after leaving Memphis, we stopped at the Clinton library in Little Rock - a stunning building on the banks of the Arkansas river:
We spent last night in Sallisaw, Oklahoma (close to the Arkansas border). The highlight of today's 420+ mile drive from there to Amarillo was a stop in Oklahoma City where we visited the memorial to the April 19, 1995 bombing victims - very tastefully done and well worth the stop.

That's about it for now. We've heard that gas prices back at home have exceeded the $3.00 mark. Knock on wood for now, we've paid between $2.69 and $2.79 since leaving home, which slightly softens the shock each time we fill up (which is often!)
